Moving is hard work
You guys, I'm never going shopping again. After a nice late lunch at Juan's yesterday, Mom and I went traipsing around several different stores looking for furniture and bedding stuff for my new house.
+ We found cheap pillows at JC Penney! This is important because I had to get new bedding since I'm upgrading to a queen-sized bed, and the bedding came with all these sham covers for pillows I did not yet have.
+ I got my Discover card in the mail yesterday. This is my first ever credit card, so I'm both excited and terrified. I think for the time being, I'm going to put my Netflix payment on this card so that I'll always have something each month to pay off. I'll also probably use it for gas, since that's not really something that I can splurge on - it's impossible for me to get more gas than I need, so it won't affect my finances. Hopefully this will allow me to build some credit over the next few years so that I can get home loans and such for residency.
+ This week will be my last week at work for the summer! I am so relieved to almost be done with the painstaking task that is insurance purchasing, but I'm sad as usual to be leaving the awesome people in my office. I like being able to come back to such a great work environment every year, and the new woman that was hired this year is also great and fits in well.
- The impending move is so stressful. Ugh. I'm excited about starting medical school, but I do not look forward to the process of actually moving. I'll be glad when I can stop ordering furniture and coordinating all that.
- I also don't look forward to studying like crazy for the next two years of my life starting in a few weeks. I know it will all be worth it in the end, but I feel like I just got done with college and shouldn't have to go back to school yet.
So that's kind of the state of my life right now. The next few weeks are going to go by quickly!
